Park Avenue lives to share Christ’s love with every generation.
Our strategy is to make lifetime followers of Jesus Christ who:
Grow Spiritually – We want everyone to become more like Jesus, this takes knowing Him and living out an active relationship to be more like Him. We do this through our services, small groups, Sunday school classes and our expectation is that every believer is growing spiritually in their journey of faith.
Give Generously – In Like 12:48 Jesus reminds us that to those who have been given much, much is expected. Part of being more like Jesus is giving generously with your time, talent, resources and love. As a church we express this in many different ways, from supporting the local food bank, partnering with Operation Christmas Child, Montebello United school supply give away, Sheepfold women’s shelter and many others. We desire to see people who are generous with what they have been given.
Serve Faithfully – Jesus told us that the greatest will be those who serve and led in that example. in following Christ we desire to do the same. This means being involved in and supporting various ministries of the church, community and people around us. As a church we have hosted emergency management training, boy scouts, city sponsored events and desire to see all people involved in serving others
Love Genuinely – Romans 12:9 reminds us that Love is more than a word and must be sincere in action. Love should be expressed through relationship and action. It is our desire that every person acts on their faith and expresses genuine love to those around them.
Share Continually – Simply put, we want people to know about Jesus. Whether it’s our weekend services, someone sharing Jesus at their work with a friend or a special event giveaway we want people to know the Love of Jesus and what he has done for them. We expect that all followers are sharing throughout their lives.
While these are five simple statements, we believe they encompass what it means to be a follower of Jesus and desire to see people live them out in their lives.
